I don't think you would be allowed to swim in it. The water is cold, only 15 Celsius Degrees. We visited the cave on the same day that we did Melissani Lake and Sami on a day trip from the southern coast of Kefelonia. ( need reasonable shoes, water, and sun cream ) Next destination is the famous and colorful Melissani lake dedicated to the nymphs, and ancient Greek God Panas.
