Snowmobile Trails, Mountain Bike Trails, Ski Trails, ATV Trails and Auto Trails allow you to experience the wilderness, settlements and mystic beauty of Northern Wisconsin, no matter what your mode of transportation might be. The Chippewa County ATV Trail is normally open to ATV riding from May 1st to November 15th of each year, except in case of emergency, when the County may close and gate the trail.
The Iron County ATV/UTV Trail system is open as of May 15, 2020 Whether touring on your ATV or UTV, you will find our trails offer year-round scenic views of nature, wildlife, lakes and waterfalls.
UTVs are allowed in Iron County under the same definitions as the WDNR rules. Come and enjoy an amazing waterfall, or take a long walk on the beautiful sandy beaches of Saxon Harbor. These are roads designated with letters. In communities where the city is responsible for road care, the route stops at the edge of the city unless ATV routes are signed and approved. Our trails are open to all skill levels and conditions—whether you just want to leisurely ride on a smooth and level path, or want something more challenging with a rocky terrain and steep slopes, or something in-between, we have a trail for you.
