Because God’s very nature is love, He must demonstrate love, just as He must demonstrate all His attributes because doing so glorifies Him. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. The Bible tells us that "God is Love" (1 John 4:8). If God has always been love and love demands an object, we may wonder how God demonstrated His love before He created angels or men.
