Rock Band 2 is a whole lot trickier.
Head to 'Exports' and click the Rock Band 3 listing. You bought Rock Band 1, you love playing Rock Band 1 then, oh no, they go and release Rock Band 2.
The Rock Band 1 song export does not require a code, so you can get it used.
Export costs $5 on the PSN store, and you'll need the disc to rip the songs off of.
Rock Band 1 is easiest as there is an in-game option to export which costs $5. (If you receive an error, try the process again later, as there are LOTS of people trying to get this to work at the same time.)
Buying the game used risks the chance that the original owner already used the code.
Rock band 2 export code So I busted my goodwood mods GHWT kit and I've recently got it all working again with a lucky find of a used Roland pad and buying a vdrum kick. You can in fact still export both Rock Band 1 and Rock Band 2 on-disc songs. On top of that, if you bought the Disturbed album Indestructible, a code was included which, when input at the band's website, would generate a code to download, free of charge, two songs from that album into Rock Band: Inside the Fire and the title track, Indestructible. Got Rock Band 4 and am finding out I've missed the boat on getting my RB2 stuff transfered.
You will need to do this on a 360 and have the original games though. Tell the rep that you need one, they are actually listed under Rock Band 3 so be specific that you are importing RB2 songs … By contacting EA support you have a chance at getting a key. 9 of the songs that exported from this title were part of Rock Band Free Pack 01, not the Rock Band 2 Export Pack.
The Rock Band 2 song export does require a unique one-time use code, which is printed on the back of a RB2 manual.
The export is now live, and is accessible by entering the 16 character code from the back of your Rock Band 2 manual in the “Redeem Code” area of the “Get More Songs” section of Rock Band 3. Search for 'Rock Band 2 Export' on your console's Store or the PlayStation Store website. You see, official support for exporting has ended, but there is a way around that, at least for now.
